The Fine Arts Academy integrates all areas of fine arts throughout language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. To promote creativity, we provide multiple opportunities for students to design, perform, and share as a community. As our students go through each grade, they explore various aspects of the arts. We are a school environment filled with learning and creativity! We appreciate your choice in the Fine Arts Academy and invite you to explore our website to learn more about who we are and what exciting events will be happening for your Falcons during the 2019–20 school year. We hope you enjoyed a restful winter break and that you are as excited as we are about returning to school on Monday, January 6. As we look back on the first semester of the school year 2019–2020, we are very thankful to be part of such a caring and supportive community. We especially appreciate your participation at school events. This year has seen record-breaking family involvement. Let’s keep this up! With the new year, comes new opportunities to revisit our current practices. One of the ways you can become involved in helping us make this the best school it can be is to attend PTSA meetings. You do not have to be a member to attend and provide your input on important topics. Our next meeting will be on January 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. Parents, there are many ways you can stay connected and well informed. One of the simplest ways to do this is to make sure you are on the Remind app. Teachers and school administrators work diligently to keep you up-to-date with information about a variety of topics. To keep on top of your children’s academic progress, we recommend signing up for ParentVue. If you do not already have access or need help using this program, please contact our front office and they will be happy to get you set up. Want to support your school? An easy way to contribute is through tax credit contributions. It is a credit against your state taxes, which means that the money you would normally pay the state can go directly to the Fine Arts Academy instead. Because of tax credit contributions, we are able to offer students more academic and enrichment opportunities before and after school. Finally, we would like to congratulate Ms. Beth Raymond, teacher of the month and Ms. Daisy Diaz, staff member of the month. You will notice that they now have their own personal parking spaces in the parking lot. If you see either of these amazing people, be sure to congratulate them!
